Individuals that work in the Music Recording industry manufacture, design, install, integrate, operate and repair the equipment of audiovisual communications, and that is exactly what you’ll do in the Audio Engineering classes. You will help produce sound, video and data for groups in such venues as corporate boardrooms, hotels, convention centers, classrooms, theme parks, stadiums and music recording studios. You will also develop the technical skills to operate the equipment necessary to produce a finished audio product in both live performance and studio recordings. Music Business is an integral part of Audio Engineering. Students will be exposed to units of study that allow them to focus on the aspects of Music Business. Students will learn about writer/publisher contracts, production contracts, radio promotion, music distribution and copyright law.
