Program Activities / Description
Humanities Outreach in Tennessee (HOT) is a season of diverse live performances for student audiences at TPAC. HOT presents 40+ performances of local, national and international artists each school year. 2017-18 season highlights include: - "The Battle of Franklin" for grades 5-12 (at The Factory, Franklin) - "STAND" for grades 10-12 (in-school tour) - "Tosca" invited Nashville Opera dress rehearsal for grades 9-12 - Fisk Jubilee Singers for grades 5-12 - "Macbeth" for grades 9-12 - "The Polar Bears Go Up" for grades Pre K-1 - "Sleeping Beauty" for grades 2-4 - "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" for grades 5-8 (at The Factory, Franklin) - "Kaytek the Wizard" for grades 5-8 - Hypnotic Brass Ensemble for grades 5-12 - "Air Play" for grades 2-6 - "One Morning I Left..." for grades Pre K-1 - "Inherit the Wind" by Nashville Repertory Theatre for grades 9-12 All productions are carefully selected to connect to classroom learning and include guide books to help teachers stretch their students' imaginations while developing their creative and critical thinking.
