Program Activities / Description
HOT Workshops offer educators the opportunity to build a bridge between academic core and the arts. Each season, TPAC offers 10+ HOT Workshops on a variety of topics. One example: Teachers may walk into the private world of rehearsal and learn about the creative process of the director, set designer, and costume designer for Nashville Opera performances or connect students to STEM learning through the arts. Other workshops available include: Strategies for teaching STEM with the Arts and Theater Tech, a two-day workshop led by TPAC's Technical Crew and other theater professionals that includes lighting demonstrations and activities, costume and makeup studies, time with other teachers to share ideas, and more. Teacher workshops offer one to 13 hours of in-service credit.
