Program Activities / Description
ARTS INTEGRATION INSTITUTES are multi-day workshops that empower K-12 teachers to create original arts integration units and projects for their students. Teachers actively explore works of art, and create a project based learning unit around an HOT performance. The Institute includes dedicated planning time for teachers to develop their project ideas. Participating educators learn to use inquiry, art-making, reflection and context to engage and motivate their students and qualify for free teaching artist visits to their classroom. They also earn 20 additional in-service credit hours for project completion.
